Transformation Through Tapas
During this stage of your Thai Yoga Massage journey, be prepared to turn up the heat – literally and figuratively. Mixing the Andaman coast climate, with an accelerated meditation, yoga and Thai Yoga Massage practice schedule, means that you will be generating plenty of sweat! But that is exactly the kind of intensity needed for purification and transformation to occur. And if it gets too hot, don’t worry. You will never be very far from clear, blue, refreshing water.
The first portion of this curriculum is designed to familiarize you with cultural and spiritual aspects of Thailand that are unique to the south. Once your heart and mind have embraced the people and pace of this fascinating corner of the world, and your body has been suficiently softened by the sun and sand, we will dive deeper into foundational Thai Yoga Massage elements such as breath, fluidity, rhythm, balance and sequencing by exploring traditional Thai Yoga massage techniques in the side-lying and seated position.
Our goal is to prepare you to safely, confidently, and artistically blend new and old techniques together into a thorough, personalized 120-minute treatment. Relevant yoga asanas and meditation techniques will be taught and time will be allotted for journalling and discussion about what it means to cultivate a practice.
The final portion of this curriculum is devoted to sharing, integrating and celebrating your unique approach to Thai Yoga Massage.
