The intention

The intention behind the ZIA PROJECT is to promote healing arts education in marginalized and displaced communities that currently lack access.

Examples of communities that we are interested in working with:

  • communities that have been displaced due to natural disasters
  • communities that have been displaced due to political unrest - recent or historical
  • communities that are marginalized due to race, religion, gender, sexual preference, illness,  economic status, or incarceration.

This year we plan to share our work primarily with communities that we have already established a relationship with over the years, but in the future, we hope to use this model as a basis for similar programs in new communities. We are specifically interested in expanding our relationships with indigenous peoples in the United States, Central, and South America.

If you are interested in organizing a ZIA PROJECT in your community, please contact us.
