Get ready for Thanksgiving by cultivating inner peace and gratitude on this eight-day contemplative journey through Mexico’s southern Baja Peninsula, with a pace and activities that support relaxation and wellness.
Rejuvenate with warm beaches, whale watching, meditation, qi gong, sea kayaking, snorkeling, and exploring the colorful culture of Baja.
Enjoy healthy meals with choices of sustainable seafood, fresh fruits, and veggies, vegan options, smoothies, and tea or coffee.
Guests are responsible for getting themselves to the Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas) Airport (SJD) no later than 3 pm on your first day. Our team will pick everyone up from the airport and head to first night’s lodging to begin the adventure!
Each of our mornings will begin with a mindfulness practice such as Qigong and/or meditation, to align our bodies with our minds, and spirits. Most evenings will also end with a meditation or group discussion.
After a brief orientation with your guides, drive to a beach to dig your toes into the sand. Let the ocean breeze blow your cares away as you settle in for a week of wellness. Enjoy a group dinner of delicious Baja cuisine before stargazing and falling asleep to the sound of the sea.
Warm beaches welcome you for guided Qi Gong and meditation, swimming, hiking, snorkeling, and simply relaxing on the beach. The exquisite serenity of your mornings will be punctuated by the sea splash of pelicans diving for fish. Watch for manta rays leaping out of the sea. We’ll take a guided sea-kayaking tour to visit a sea lion colony, and we’ll explore the underwater realm on a snorkeling adventure. The sunsets will paint your world pink and orange while the waves caress your senses. Often, natural bio-luminescence magically lights the waters here.
Scenic 2-hour drive over the mountains, with lunch at an artisan café. From the quaint artisan town of Todos Santos, you explore the Pacific Coast of Baja. Learn to cook an authentic Mexican meal in our cooking class. Let your body unwind with a luxurious massage. And take your pick of a horseback ride through the countryside or trying your hand at surfing. There is also time to explore the art galleries, cafes, and shops of this colorful town, known for their fine silver jewelry, paintings, sculpture, and Mexican arts. Your heart will leap with the magnificent whales right offshore.
Discover the Pearl, nickname for the capital city of La Paz. Wander through the traditional market or the central plaza of this pleasant Mexican port. Take a snorkeling tour and swim with whale sharks. Spend the evening strolling along the picturesque waterfront and dining in a sustainable seafood restaurant or a French Bistro. Relax in a comfortable hotel before next morning’s departure.
After a nourishing breakfast, you’ll have time to pack and then you’ll head back to the airport and say your goodbyes. Schedule your return flight no earlier than 2 pm on your final day.

Brad has been studying Qi Gong, awareness training, and vision quest with John P. Milton since 2003, and teaching Qi Gong and meditation since 2010. Brad holds a Wilderness First Responder medical certification. He also has worked as a Sea Kayak Guide in Monterey Bay, an Adventure Guide in Mexico, Vietnam, Alaska, Canada, and the U.S., a Naturalist in California and Colorado, a Grand Canyon Park Ranger, and a Family Counselor for wilderness therapy programs in Colorado. Brad has been guiding programs in Baja every winter since 2010. Brad creates a very personalized small-group experience in Baja.
Recently profiled in Inc. Magazine as a leader in the health/wellness industry in Boulder, CO, Jessica has been studying and working with the human mind, body, and spirit for almost twenty years. Her studies of both Western and Eastern philosophies, religious traditions, and Chinese medical theory give her many lenses through which to help others bring into focus the big picture of their lives. The practical studies of massage, shiatsu, yoga, and qigong were the natural branches of her intellectual pursuits and she has been sharing all of this knowledge through teaching for almost ten years. Integral Travel gives her the opportunity to bring it all together in the context of travel. She believes that removing yourself from your day-to-day environment opens the mind and heart to new things and combining inner exploration with outer exploration anywhere in the world will actually bring you home…to yourself, to heal your heart, and to cultivate optimal health and happiness to create positive changes in the world around you.
